StarDesign was a chosen vendor for Metro King County as one of three in the small design firm category. Work included advertising campaigns and various collateral design work as well as the design of this 7′ tall Nutcracker. King County needed me to design this Nutcracker, which would be placed downtown for the Seattle Nutcracker March, and design it with a transportation theme.
Award: Best of Show out of 64 Nutcracker designs
Best of Show for Nutcracker design, for Downtown Seattle Nutcracker March. Commissioned by King County Metro to design their nutcracker with a transportation theme. We designed their Nutcracker to be a genie riding a magic carpet. Swarovski crystals were placed all over the Nutcracker and it glowed at night. Out of 64 Nutcrackers, this one won “Best of Show”.
